Evenity®
Build new bone. Reduce fracture risk.
For post-menopausal women at high risk of fracture, Evenity offers a unique, one-year treatment that not only slows bone loss but actually builds new bone.
The Problem
After menopause, many women face increased bone fragility. Bones become thinner and lighter, making fractures far more likely — especially in the spine, hip or femur. Once a fracture happens, the risk of having another one within a year skyrockets.
Intravene provides a calm, professional setting for your Evenity injections, ensuring your care is handled safely and efficiently.
What Evenity Does
Evenity works in two ways:Who It’s For
Evenity is indicated for post-menopausal women who:
- Have osteoporosis and are at high risk for fracture (for example, history of fragility fracture or multiple risk factors).
- Have either failed or are intolerant to other osteoporosis treatments (in some regions) or where other treatments are not suitable.
Important: Not approved for men for this indication in many markets.
Compared to Other Treatments (e.g., Prolia)
While other osteoporosis treatments (such as Prolia) focus primarily on slowing bone loss, Evenity is distinctive in that it both builds bone and slows breakdown.
Also differences in dosing: Evenity is monthly for one year, versus Prolia every 6 months long-term.
However, the greater cardiovascular risk profile with Evenity means that patient selection is key.
